We meet for worship every Sunday morning at 10:30am in Craigmore Methodist Church, 20 Orken Lane, Aghalee.
We're fairly easy to find but if you want to find us via your SatNav,
our postcode is BT67 0ED.
There are signposts on the Ballinderry Road that you can follow. From the main road (B12) turn in Orken Lane and follow it round until you find the left turn onto the Hollow Road.
Craigmore Methodist Church is up the first lane that you get to on the left.
You're very welcome to join us.
SUNDAY MORNI NG
Our Sunday morning services are held each Sunday at 10:30am.
Afterwards, you're very welcome to join us for a cuppa.
The young people usually come into church for the first 15-20 minutes so we can meet as one big church family before leaving to go to
Sunday School
in the attached Church Hall.
What to expect
If you decide to join us in the building, you will be welcomed at the door by a member of the welcome team. The service starts at 10.30am, and most people arrive 5 or 10 minutes early. Of course, you can also join our worship from home, with our live stream on Craigmore.tv - click here for details of our online worship.
You can sit where you like, there is also a balcony accessed by stairs from the entrance hall. It doesn’t matter what you wear as there is great variety in how people dress for church in our congregation. If you want to play safe go for smart casual, but you are welcome in whatever you are comfortable!
Our service usually includes a mix of hymns and songs, prayers, Bible readings and a sermon or talk.
Our team of musicians play a range of musical instruments and lead the singing in Church. Most people stand up for the hymns & songs (but you can stay seated if you prefer), and the song words are projected on a screen so you don’t need a hymn book. If you’re not familiar with them you can just listen and try! We sing as a way to worship God and to remind ourselves of the key parts of our faith.
We all worship together for the first part of the service, then the young people leave us to go out to Sunday School. In Church we usually have a sermon or talk (this will also be live-streamed).
In the sermon the preacher explores how the Bible passage is relevant to our lives today. The service usually lasts about an hour.
After the service we serve tea, coffee and biscuits in the adjoining hall. Just follow the crowd of people heading through the door by the piano, or out of the front door and keep left. It's great to be able to chat together to get to know each other.
We do have a "collection", but this is a free will offering so you do not need to bring money with you unless you want to. The refreshments after the service are also free.
There are toilets in the main entrance to hall, including an accessible toilet with baby change facilities.

Prayer
Prayer is a chance to talk to God. Sometimes, when times are hard, we especially want to reach out to him, or to know that others are praying for us.
If you would like to join others in a time of prayer, we have a virtual gathering on ZOOM at 8:00pm on Thursday evenings.
If you are not sure how to pray, you could use this simple prayer guide...
God already knows what is in our hearts and minds. We can be honest with God, and say exactly how we feel, or just sit in silence.
In the quietness, think of our amazing world. From sub-atomic particles to huge mountains and vast oceans. Praise God, the creator of the universe and everything in it.
As you think of a mighty God who created us all, remember that he cares for each of us individually. In his power, he knows everything about you and simply invites you to come close to him.
God says that if you are sorry for the things you've done wrong, he will forgive you. So, spend a few moments thinking about the things that you wish you hadn't done - and ask God to forgive you.
Take some time to pray for people and places that need God's support. Pray that those who are ill may know God's healing touch, those who are bereaved may know God's peace, those who are in stress or anxiety may know God's strength.
Finally, pray for yourself and your own needs. Ask God to help you see what he wants for your life.
May God bless you this day.
